FEE PROTECTION SCHEME (FPS)

The FPS protects students' fees in the event that the School is unable to continue operating due to insolvency, and/or closure, as well as if the School is unable to pay a judgment sum due to a student.

Zhicheng Private School declares that we have in place a Fee Protection Scheme Group Insurance (FPS-G) stipulated by the Committee for Private Education (CPE)*. 

We have adopted the FPS-G with Liberty Insurance for the convenience of students.  

Details of FPS Group Insurance

a. The insurance coverage period starts from the date that the Student is issued a Receipt by the School and ends when the Student completes the course for which the Course Fees were paid.

b. The following fees are exempted from the FPS:

i. Course application fee

ii. Prevailing Goods and Services Tax (GST)

iii. Miscellaneous fees

iv. FPS insurance premium

v. Examination fees collected less than 2 months before examination date

c. The School will issue a receipt to students.

d. Students should check if the information is stated correctly on the following documents:  

Receipt – student name, date of payment, date of receipt, course title, course fee paid, course start date, course end date, and outstanding amount (if any).

* The Committee for Private Education (CPE) is part of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

The CPE is established under the Private Education Act, and it is a statutory board empowered with the legislative power to regulate the private education sector. In addition to its role as the sectoral regulator of private education institutions, the CPE facilitates capability development efforts to uplift standards in the local private education industry.
